The
Sun
City
Center
Area
compromises
a very large part of Hillsborough
County
in which there are more that 15,000 private homes and some 14
facilities providing a multitude of senior living options.
Located between Tampa and Sarasota along the Interstate 75 corridor,
beautiful land and friendly people are two of our most important
natural resources. Sun City Center and the surrounding Southshore
communities offer everything today's active retirement residents and
business people alike need to prosper. Lots of shimmering water,
a receptive business climate, and prime land for future growth and
development create an enticing environment.
Top-rate and highly respected physicians and dentists, practicing
virtually every specialty, are here. All types of legal and
financial expertise are available from well-qualified
professionals. Many of these as well as representatives of 165
business categories are members of our Chamber.
Our
area
is
not
a
retirement
community because residents here are too
busy to retire. Fine golf courses abound, plus residents
participate in physical activities from aerobics to Zen Yoga, tennis to
softball, lawn bowling to pickleball. We have over 200 clubs and
organizations utilized on almost a full-time basis.
We are immensely proud of all our
vital and community-involved
Chamber members. Their dedication to the Sun City Center Chamber
of Commerce has made possible very successful annual events, over the
years such as the
Spring
Trade Show, the spectacular Fall Business Expo, Golf
Tournament, and the famous Taste of Sun City Center to name just a
few. In addition, the
3,800-square-foot banquet room, which accommodates up to 210 persons,
bustles with weekly seminars and presentations that are open to the
public, providing continuing education opportunities.
Our members come from many locales in Hillsborough and surrounding
counties. I salute them, and I cordially invite other businesses
to join with us in our dedicated mission to maintain the Sun City
Center Area's vitality and growth in the years to come.
